Publication fee

As reliable source of information, we introduce thousands of campsites to millions of campers each year. In order for us to continue to realise, improve and ensure this, from 2020, we will be charging you a publication fee.

The exact amount of this annual fee depends on a number of factors:

- Is your campsite bookable on our website? Then you will not be charged €250, but €150.

Click here for more information about becoming bookable

- Does your campsite participate tot the CKE discount program? Then you will also not be charged €250, but €150.

Click here for more information about joining CKE?

- Have you purchased an online campsite package? Then you will not be charged any fee.

FAQ Publication fee

What is a publication fee?

This is an annual fee for listing your campsite on anwbcamping.nl

Why am I being charged for a publication fee?

This way, we are able to update and process all campsite data and display the correct information to campers. It enables us to continue to realise, improve and ensure your listing on anwbcamping.nl

What amount do I need to pay?

If you wish to remain fully listed on anwbcamping.nl, you will be charged with an annual amount of €250,-. If your campsite is bookable through our site or if you participate in the CKE-discount program, then the annual fee is €150. If you have purchased an online campsite package, you will not be charged wih the publication fee.

What can I expect from you if I pay this annual publication fee?

Your campsite will be listed on anwbcamping.nl, which includes the following: - general information about your campsite - campsite text - surroundings text - 15 campsite photos - 5 surroundings photos - a link to your website

How do I inform you that I do not agree with paying the publication fee?

You can inform us by sending an e-mail to camping@anwb.nl. From 2022 onwards, we will no longer publish your campsite fully on anwbcamping.nl

Should I also pay the publication fee if I have purchased an online campsite package for 2022?

No, the publication fee is included in the price of the online campsite package

What do the online packs include?

If I have purchased an online campsite package for 2022, do I need to pay the publication fee anyway?

The annual fee is included in the price of the online campsite package. If you have purchased a package for 2022, but not for 2021, you will be charged with the fee for 2021.

Do I need to pay the publication fee if my campsite is (firm) bookable via the ANWB?

Yes you do, however, you do receive a discount of €100. You will not be charged €250, but €150 annually.

I own an ANWB Top campsite, do I also need to pay the publication fee?

Yes, the publication fee also applies to you.

My campsite is bookable, but I haven't informed you of the new rates yet. Does this mean I should pay the standard rate of €250 or the lower rate of €150 for bookable campsites?

You will be charged with the discounted amount of €150. We do, however, expect you to update your prices as soon as possible.

My campsite is listed on anwbcamping.nl without stars. Should I pay a publication fee?

Yes, the publication fee  applies to all campsites that wish to be listed on our website.

What happens if I don't pay the publication fee?

In that case, from 2022 onwards, your campsite will no longer be fully listed on anwbcamping.nl.

How will I be charged with this publication fee?

ANWB Kamperen will send your campsite an invoice, requesting you to pay the amount within the set payment term.

My campsite is not situated in The Netherlands. Is it possible to transfer the VAT?

Yes, that is possible. We keep track of all VAT-numbers, so if we know your VAT-number, you will automatically receive an invoice without VAT.

Why must I submit a VAT number?

If your campsite is located in The Netherlands, then you are not obliged to submit a VAT number. You can enter a fictitious number (such as 1234 for instance). If your campsite is not located in The Netherlands, then a VAT levy of 21% will be added to the invoice amount if a valid VAT number is not submitted. Passing on a valid VAT number to us will enable us to transfer the VAT for you and we will not charge the 21% VAT amount. You can always claim back the VAT amount in your own country if the ANWB has charged VAT due to you not submitting a valid VAT number. If you are not able to send in the form because you did not enter a VAT number, then you can submit a fictitious number (such as 1234 for instance). In that instance, if your campsite is not located in The Netherlands, we will be obliged to charge 21% VAT.

I own a small campsite with just a few (spaces) pitches. Do I pay a lower rate?

No , the fee of €250 (or €150 for campsites that offer CKE-discount or are bookable) is equal for all campsites, regardless of the size of the campsite.

My campsite is currently published in the ANWB guide Certified Campsites / ANWB guide Small Campsites. If I do not agree to pay the publication fee, will my campsite be removed from the guide?

The publication fee is a contribution for online publication on our website anwbcamping.nl and is not related to your position in the guide. Your campsite will therefore still be published in the ANWB camping guide 2022.

I want to be eligible for the lower rate (so €150 instead of €250). Is it still possible to join the CKE program or to become bookable so that my fee for 2022 will be the discounted fee?

Yes it is. Please inform us of your CKE-discount through Check & Change, or simply become bookable by following this link.

Can I still decide to purchase an online package?

Yes, you can. Then you will only pay the price of the package that you choose, as this rate already includes the publication fee. For more information regarding online packages (M / L / XL) send an email to: advertising@anwb.nl.

I do not agree / I no longer want to be published online. How can I report this?

Please send an email to camping@anwb.nl.

How do I become bookable?

Please read everything about becoming and being bookable on this page.

       - The invoice can be sent directly to the customer.

• Who is going to pay us?

       - You will be paid directly by the camper.

• When will we receive the money?

       -  As soon as the customer has paid.

• How much is the commission?

       -  The commission is 10% per booking.

• Will you send an invoice for the commission?

       -  Yes, you will get an invoice from ANWB, either per month or per quarter.

I own a Swedish campsite. How does this work for us and what are the prices in SEK?

When your campsite is bookable and/or CKE-participant, you pay the discount rate of €150 (ca. 1583kr). If you have neither, you pay €250 (ca. 2639kr).

You can also choose to purchase an online package for greater visibility and a wide range of presentation possibilities. When you purchase an online package, available from €850 (c.a. 8972kr), you don't need to pay the publication fee for that year.

The publication fee is solely related to online publication on our website anwbcamping.nl. Should you decide against being published, this only affects your online publication. Updating your campsite information in Check & Change is still necessary, because these details will be published in our campsite guides.

For any further questions, please contact your contact at SCR.

When does the publication fee start and what action do I need to take?

The publication fee will start at the beginning of the year, invoicing will take place in January/February. Click here. From there onwards, it will be clear what steps you need to take.

We have an online package, what do we do now?

This means that you don't need to pay any publication fee for 2022. You do however need to sign the altered contract, just click here.

Where can I ask my other questions regarding the publication fee?

You can send an email to camping@anwb.nl.

Photo tips

Cover photo:
When uploading the cover photo (the main photo at the top of your campsite page), pick an overview photo that clearly shows the campsite’s location or the atmosphere on the pitches.

It is also important to pick a photo with the main subject in the centre. This is to ensure that important details do not end up being out of frame.
You can preview the cutout by checking the ‘Show Cutout’ option after selecting the cover photo in Check & Change.

Swimming pool:
When uploading a photo of the pool, pick a photo in which the weather is nice and the pool looks lively (e.g. one with people in it, with their permission).
